Pooja Ghar is one of the most important parts of our home and life. So as we decorate the other parts of our house and the rooms, we should do the same with our Mandir especially during Navratri.

Decoration doesn’t always mean to clutter your space with sparkling items. It means using the right amount of things at the right place. Finding it difficult to understand? Here’s a solution!

In this blog, we have covered easy yet beautiful decoration ideas for your Puja room this Navratri.

Things to keep in mind

Before you sit down with a plan on how to design your pooja ghar, first decide on your requirements. This includes points whether you need a counter for your Mandir or not? The pooja space should be open storage or closed and the amount of space required. We can have a small and pretty Mandir, or a large cabinet or even a separate room in our house. After deciding on some factors have a place or shelves accordingly.

The different types

There are 3 types

  • •  Permanent storage
  • •  Changeable Multi-purpose storage
  • •  A separate room

Modern Pooja Room designs

  1. 1. Depending on your economic status you can decorate your Pooja Ghar with colorful lights, carved wood panels, marble, and even with silver and gold.
  2. 2. Use a series of lamps involved in Pooja rooms that laminates the furniture in the Pooja space. Make sure you decorate suits the theme and ambiance of the room.
  3. 3. Give your Mandir space a blend of modern and traditional touch. It is a unique technique to modernize but still keep up with the traditional way of revering and glorifying. Go for pretty textured walls with glass panels around and beautiful lighting on the ceiling.
  4. 4. Use beads with pretty kuber Diya and some other wonderful traditional things in your Mandir for a modern touch.

Small Pooja room designs

  1. 1. Where the temple should be placed in the house is one of the major concerns with simplest solution. Incorporate a pooja corner by tucking in a vacant or unused space in your home.
  2. 2. Accommodate your Mandir at some height, covering barely 2-3 feet of area with a curved wooden / marble platform attached to a corner of the room. You can keep an interesting support stand.
  3. 3. Have a display closet in the desired room that can incorporate a Mandir with all the relevant items. Install a glass door to keep it protected from dust and dirt.
  4. 4. Get a Cabinet pair with a freestanding cupboard where they form a beautiful temple structure at your home.
